A ritual of change is the hallmark of a rite of passage, as we transition from one stage of life to another.  Being born is the first rite of passage for all of us, and big one for the new parents too.

Fast forward a couple decades and their passages from elementary, to middle, to high school are already distant in the rear-view mirror.  This year the caps and gowns were green for a University of Oregon college graduate, and black for the Law School graduate at the University of Nevada – Las Vegas.
